Panoramic view of the green Welsh hills and buildings of the former Polish settlement Penrhos. In the center of the frame, there is a large white inscription: 'PENRHOS,' and below it a smaller inscription: 'SOPLICOWO IN WALES.' Above the landscape, a cloudy sky with blue-gray shades is visible.

After the Second World War, Polish soldiers established one of the first Polish residential settlements in Britain in Penrhos, North Wales. It became a home for veterans who could not return to their homeland. Today, after 78 years, the settlement is slowly disappearing, and with it an important part of our history. This documentary film aims to preserve the memory of Penrhos and the people who formed this community.
